terracing,waterharvestingwhichwas
not thecommonpracticebefore.This
hashelped their coffee trees tobe
more to resistant topestsanddiseases
and resilient extremedryconditions
hencegetting increasinglybetter
yields.

Answer:
Like I said, they should
endeavour tohave terraces in their
farms,mulch theground, plant
shade treesand in the right spacing,
applying fertilizersat leastonceevery
year, prune the treesand the shade
providersnot forgetting topractice
waterharvestingand storage.

day?
Answer:
Wegot tomeet various
coffee farmersand stakeholders
henceawidernetworkand learntnew
farming ideas from the interactions.
We learnt that thereweremanyother
organizations thatwerealso focusing
onhavingUgandaasoneof thebest
coffeegrowingcountries in theworld.
Furthermore,wewere inspiredby
the farmingpracticesatGLADFarm
whichwehavealsoadoptedonour
farms forbetter yields.Wealso learnt
thatmulchingof our farmswasvery
important especiallyafter seeing that
GLADFarmbesidesbeing sohuge, they
hadmulched thewholeplantation.
Farmers tend toviewmulchingasa
veryexpensivenonvalueaddition
practice.
